According to AOAO lab’s R&D lead, the newly launched compact coating machine is tailor-made for small-batch lab sample preparation. Its compact footprint fits standard lab workbenches and delivers precise control over coating thickness, compatible with slurry coating for traditional lithium-ion cathodes/anodes, as well as lithium metal and sodium metal materials. The matching electrode die-cutting machine accurately cuts standard coin cell electrodes with smooth, burr-free edges, eliminating the risk of battery short circuits caused by rough electrode margins, making it ideal for lab-scale trial and pilot research.

 

“Procuring lab equipment used to be extremely troublesome for university labs. Coaters, die cutters and roller presses were sourced from separate vendors with inconsistent dimensions and operating standards; our researchers would spend one to two weeks just coordinating equipment debugging,” shared a professor from the electrochemistry department of a university.
